Pathfinder School provides free, quality education to more than 275 students through grade 9. Located in Cape Coast, Ghana, the school opens the door to opportunity for children living in poverty, sustained through modest fees from families who can pay and generous donor support.
Pathfinder School provides free, quality education to over 275 students through grade 9 in Cape Coast, Ghana. The school was founded by Alliance for Youth Development (AYD) in 2012 to reach orphans and vulnerable children who are often excluded from government schooling due to poverty.
GO Fund has been the school’s leading donor for more than a decade, funding renovations and expansion efforts to ensure every child has a chance to learn in a safe, welcoming environment. In 2024, 30 new students enrolled, bringing total enrollment to 276. Upgrades included expanded classrooms and improved water and sanitation systems.
Several students at Pathfinder also reside at Home for Hope, AYD’s nearby children’s home, supported by GO Fund. Together, these programs create a continuum of care and education that transforms lives.
