20 Years of Experience
Our History
Founded in 2007 to Provide Economic Empowerment Opportunities

The Global Opportunity Fund (GO Fund) was founded in 2007 with a mission to provide economic empowerment programs to women in Africa. Since its inception, the GO Fund has supported grassroots initiatives that create sustainable opportunities and improve the quality of life in underserved communities. Through partnerships and community-led efforts, the GO Fund has impacted over thousands of women and families across Ghana and Kenya—providing access to small business training, educational resources, and income-generating opportunities.
We are a non-profit organization that promotes the empowerment and enrichment of the lives of women and children in Africa via educational, social support and entrepreneurial projects.

Our Projects & Work

-
Pathfinder School
Pathfinder is now serving over 350 students through grade 9. The school is free to children living in poverty and is sustained in part by fees from families that can afford to pay and from donor contributions.
-
Home for Hope
Home for Hope (Built in 2012, Renovated 2023/2024) – Construction began in 2010 and the home opened in 2012. Since then, Home for Hope has served as a refuge for orphans and vulnerable children in Asebu, Ghana.
-
Gift a Goat Program
The Gift a Goat program runs in both Ghana and Kenya. Women in this program are trained and gifted a goat to reproduce, since owning and raising livestock is a powerful way to build wealth.
-
Sew for Sisterhood
Sew for Sisterhood teaches women the vocational skills of sewing and batik. This program began in Ghana. These technical skills enable women to earn a stable income to support themselves and their children.
-
Culinary & Entrepreneurial Center
The vision of the Culinary and Entrepreneurial Center is to connect future food entrepreneurs in Kenya with technology, innovation and shared knowledge transfer to help feed the hungry.
