The School Feeding & Gardening Program is implemented in partnership with Lutino Adunu in Northern Uganda. The program helps schools grow nutritious food on-site, providing meals for students while teaching practical agricultural skills that support long-term food security.
In one participating school, the number of students receiving meals increased from 20 to 487. School leaders also reported improved attendance and no student dropouts during the project year. To support long-term sustainability, the program is now introducing Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) for parents, helping families build savings, cover school expenses, and invest in their children’s education.
