Table Banking is a community savings model helping women build wealth through structured group lending and financial literacy. Implemented in Ghana and Kenya, the program helps participants grow small businesses and gain economic independence.
The GO Fund’s Table Banking program equips women with the knowledge, tools, and peer support to grow their savings, access capital, and invest in long-term financial stability. Implemented in partnership with Dupoto Flourish Africa in Kenya and Alliance for Youth Development in Ghana, the program operates across five communities and serves over 250 women.
Through structured group savings, participants contribute regularly, borrow at low interest, and reinvest in their businesses or family needs. The model encourages accountability, strengthens community trust, and creates a ripple effect of economic empowerment.
In both Kenya and Ghana, the program includes essential financial literacy training (covering budgeting, planning, and credit management) and integrates discussions on gender-based violence, early marriage, and women’s rights. This holistic approach supports not just financial growth but long-term resilience and leadership.
