Table Banking is a community savings model helping women build wealth through structured group lending and financial literacy. Implemented in Ghana and Kenya, the program helps participants grow small businesses and gain economic independence.
The GO Fund’s Women’s Table Banking program helps women build savings, access affordable loans, and strengthen their financial independence. Working alongside Dupoto Flourish Africa in Kenya and Alliance for Youth Development in Ghana, the program reaches more than 250 women across five communities.
Through women-led savings groups, women save regularly, access low-interest loans, and receive practical training in budgeting, financial planning, and credit management. The program also creates space for discussions about women’s rights, gender-based violence, and early marriage.
Women decide how to use these resources based on their own needs and goals. Some have used loans to start or grow individual businesses, including grass-cutting services, food production, and charcoal sales. Others are investing together, such as the Flourishers Women Group in Kenya, which is using its collective savings to build a chairs and tents rental business.
By allowing women to shape how they participate, the program supports both individual ambitions and shared economic opportunities.
