The Gift a Goat program runs in both Ghana and Kenya. Women in this program are trained and gifted a goat to reproduce, since owning and raising livestock is a powerful way to build wealth. After 20 years, we are proud that some original beneficiaries are still raising goats. One women we spoke to was able to buy land, put her children through school and still has a heard of goats, all because of our original gift of two goats.
