Where it Started

Medical Relief Alliance
2001The GO Fund was an outgrowth of an organization Sarah Davie co-founded in 2001, Medical Relief Alliance (MRA), a non-profit organization that donates valuable medical supplies and equipment to underserved communities in Kenya. -
GO Fund Founded
January 2012The Global Opportunity Fund (GO Fund) was founded in 2007 to provide economic empowerment programs to women in Africa. -
Home for Hope
2010In 2010, we began construction on an orphanage called the Home for Hope in Ghana, which was completed in 2011. -
Pathfinder School
2013In 2013 we worked with local and international partners to build and open Pathfinder Acadamy which now educates over 250 students per year. -
Buyers Edge Platform Partnership
2019The GO Fund begins to work closely with Buyers Edge Platform to further accelerate our empowerment programs. -
Major Partnership Growth
2021In 2021, with Buyers Edge Platform and its employees as key donors, GO Fund began working with Source1 to build ties with manufacturing partners. Georgia Pacific funded new community washrooms, and Custom Culinary helped launch the Culinary Center. The Davie Family Foundation was formed and partnered with Bregal Helps to expand the project. Most recently, GO Fund welcomed a new partnership with Tyson Foods.
